ALIG Luxembourg Association of Gluten Intolerants
ALIG

The ALIG finds itself increasingly confronted with work and duties that the secretariat and the voluntary members of the board of directors can no longer carry out.
assume.
Indeed, accounting, requests from our members, external meetings, cooking classes and training in restaurants, nurseries, relay houses and others take a lot of time and the members of the board of directors, who are all volunteers, no longer find the time necessary to complete all these tasks.
It is for this reason that we are addressing you, our members, for whom we are doing everything we can to develop ALIG and improve the lives of patients suffering from celiac disease in Luxembourg.
We are looking for people who are interested in collaborating on the board of directors and/or in one of our working groups.

FIRST THE DIAGNOSIS, THEN THE GLUTEN-FREE DIET

In the daily newspaper “Journal” of August 9, under the heading Kloertext, it has been noted that it is not recommended to start following a gluten-free diet before having a diagnosis.

If you follow this diet without there being a medical indication, you risk a lack of certain nutrients. A recent study carried out in Australia speaks to this subject. In this study we evaluated the nutritional status of people who had eliminated wheat from their diet without having had a relevant diagnosis. here is the summary.
