Covid-19 vaccination

A new year to begin, and the ALIG wishes you all first of all that the virus is defeated in 2021. For people with an autoimmune disease such as celiac disease, the question of vaccination yes / no requires our special attention. By checking the opinions of our colleagues abroad and recent publications on the subject, ALIG concludes that at present there is no no contraindication, no specific concerns related to celiac disease (see summary COVID-19, survey vaccination and MC). However, we recommend that people with other associated illnesses clarify the subject with their treating doctor.

New recipe book

In the meantime, continue to prepare good gluten-free dishes to please yourself. We have detected for you a new recipe book which has received an award abroad. If you are tempted to make your own bread (video lesson) gluten-free at home, consult the author's useful and simple instructions Aran Goyoage before you start. She talks about the effects of the fineness after grinding of the flour used. An ingredient often used in his recipes are flax seeds. Prefer linen grown locally and sold in Luxembourg.

Gluten-free flour mixture recipes

A member told us that the site “Olivers gluten-free Rezepte” constitutes a wealth of information on the proper use of the 4 varieties of Schär flour. The recipes are clearly explained and the result is successful. It provides concise, relevant and easy-to-understand advice. We suggest you take some of your time to discover.
A varied diet is essential for health, so for the gluten-free diet, it is advisable to alternate the flour mixtures used (e.g. Maisterei, Hammermühle, JYTTE, Nutrifree, 3 PAULY etc.). To vary the usual foods, consult these examples.
