Cancellation

The ALIG general assembly planned for April 23, 2020 was canceled following the exceptional situation linked to Covid-19. However, the government has implemented a system which allows a general meeting to be held without requiring the physical presence of members. So a letter will be sent to you at the beginning of June with all the documents referring to it. For the same reason the cooking class on Saturday May 16 is canceled and will be rescheduled for 2021.

Gluten-free beer

Our association is participating in a study in Spain on gluten-free beers. In particular, a beer from Funck Bricher and a beer from Simon will be analyzed for their gluten levels using different tests. In our ALIG-INFO 1/2015, a article was written on the difficulties encountered during analysis beer in the laboratory. The article on the site foodlux (in German) emits recommendations for purchase of a gluten-free beer. This is in order to choose your beer carefully, taking into account criteria such as taste, price and availability.

World Celiac Day

In May the ALIG will launch a debate in the press to talk about celiac disease. World Day was initiated to give more visibility to the disease. This year we noted the fact that in Luxembourg there remain many cases undiagnosed. The more you talk about the subject, the more the general public and the medical profession become aware that diagnostics must be put at the forefront. Here you can consult the press article.

Asparagus pancake rolls recipe

We chose a recipe de asparagus season. Take from our website one of the 2 variants for preparing pancakes with gluten-free buckwheat flour or cornstarch. These 2 recipes were made during an ALIG cooking class. It is not necessarily necessary to cut the pancakes as shown in the video. If you decide to do so, turn leftovers into a sweet dessert by adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream and hot chocolate sauce. Thus, young and old will each find their pleasure.
